The construct of the well worn “Triple Bottom Line” has worked well over many years to bring attention to the goals for Profit, People and Planet. Yet, today’s economic reality has shown that this important idea is somewhat incomplete in it’s failing to recognize the dominance of the Capital (entrepreneur, stockholder or investor) and the Customer, without which, there is no triple bottom anything. Without the Customer, there is little chance for any Company to succeed; and without a sustainable Company, the Triple Bottom Line is an irrelevant conversation.
